Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Affordable Dental Care for Eligible Canadians

At Mi Dental Care, we are proud to accept CDCP coverage and help our patients understand their benefits and receive quality treatment with confidence.

Millions of Canadians struggle to access essential dental care due to cost or lack of insurance.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal government program aimed at helping eligible residents access the dental care they need, often at significantly reduced out-of-pocket costs.

What Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a government-supported initiative designed to ease financial barriers to dental care for eligible Canadians without access to private dental insurance.

It helps cover a portion of the cost for a broad range of dental services based on clinical need and eligibility.

Who Qualifies for CDCP?

To qualify for the CDCP, all of the following must be true

1. No Dental Insurance Access

You must not have current private dental insurance or coverage through:

  • Employer benefits
  • Pension plans
  • Professional plans
  • Student plans
  • 2. Tax Filing Requirement

You (and your spouse or common-law partner) must have filed a Canadian tax return for the previous year so your income can be assessed

    3. Family Net Income

Adjusted Family Net Income Less Than $90,000 Your combined family income must be below $90,000 based on your most recent tax data.

    How CDCP Coverage Works?

Once eligible, the CDCP reimburses your dental provider directly for covered services. Your out-of-pocket cost may vary depending on your income and whether your costs exceed CDCP fee rates.

    Co-Payment Levels Based on Income
